Dark Souls and Good Hearts: Intro

I am writing a wonderful story about a boy who lives and dies, although it is a very long story. Too long for me to organize and type it all out into words in one night, but if you like the story, I will write the full thing out in a month minimum (it really is a long story for me to write). Please enjoy the intro! Comment too!

Kurai, an average boy. His grades were B’s and A’s. He had straight, crow-colored hair and ghostly skin. He was tall, although not extremely muscular. His eyes were chunks of coal, trapped by the whiteness that surrounded the iris. He wore colorless grey and black clothing, matching his exterior personality, everything about him was normal, except for the fact that a demon lied in his soul.
It was the 8th grade of Water’s Edge Middle School for Kurai, he was at locker C72, right next to Jonas, the jerk who bullied him day and night, saying that they were townhouse neighbors in the city. “Heeyyyyy Kurrraaaaiiii, wanna take me on?” Jonas taunted. A small group of kids of all grades formed gathering more and more people every second. They surrounded locker C72. A blond-haired jock barked, “Yeah, you can’t take ’em on, you’re too weak!” The crowd burst into ridiculing laughter, jocks spreading their bacteria-filled saliva everywhere. “Leave me alone,” Kurai muttered as he gently shut the locker until it clicked. “I am afraid we can’t Kurrrrai,” Jonas spat, “Didn’t your forget your books anyways?” Jonas gripped onto Kurai’s midnight hair and smashed his face into the locker, twisting it until he was scratched and bruised. The bell rang. At that moment, an old man who taught math across the hall opened the door and stomped his way through the now clearing crowd, pushing away the children. “Leave immediately!” He rasped angrily. The crowd of obnoxious children scattered into smaller groups where they gossiped about the event that happens weekly. “Are you okay, boy?” He wondered in a hushed tone. “Yes, I’m fine.” Kurai replied coldly.

Journal Writing: Concrete Writing

The blue sky was in reach of her long, thin fingers. The land stretched over the sky behind her, bearing structures that her people created. Brick by brick for the land she ruled. In front of her, the land fell endlessly under her dangling legs. Great birds, and small ones created a harmony for her melodic music she played on her ocarina. The melody and harmony wisped throughout the air, bringing it miles and miles around the kingdom, the birds and her sung. A beautiful, white dress hung about her shoulders, lined with gold and silver. Large, weeping willows shaded her golden locks from the sun that she could almost touch. An old man, tall and proud, clothed in blue, silver, and gold. He held a staff with a golden stork-like bird swiveling around it. “Zelda, Link is here to see you, he wants to show you the Skyward Sword.” He spoke.

How To Create A Portal Gun (This is Supposed to Be Funny)

Ahh, the magnificent Portal Device. Well known among the ones who devote all their time into video games. Valve’s Portal one and Portal2, the best puzzle game ever. Uses physics and your brain to solve puzzles. Using stories of the game to keep the player entertained throughout the game.

Now, to cut to the chase, the Portal Device. If you look at the Portal Device in the game or if you have a replica, that might or might not be to my left, you would see the trigger that would or would not be pulled. That trigger “shoots” a “portal”. The Portal Device is not “shooting” a “portal” but simply creating light flow out of the Portal Device.

Step #1) It would be very simple to make it, if it only needed to make light, but the hard part to it, is that you need to create mass amounts of light. Even then, not just “mass amounts of light”. Wormholes needed to be created inside a small container. Which if you have no idea how that is difficult, you try making a Wormhole(for those of you who have no idea what a Wormhole, Whitehole, or possibly Blackhole is please look it up, I am not going to explain it to you in detail).

Step #2) The Wormhole is light, as I said before “mass amounts of light.” A Wormhole is not easy or safe to create. Plus, you need to compress that Wormhole into a circle or oval.

Step #3) Then, you would need to separate that Wormhole that you have created, into two different ones.

Step #4) Next thing you have to do is create a container that can hold all of that mass amount of pressure and compress inside the portal gun.

There you go, four “simple steps on how to make a Portal Device. Please don’t send the world into space and kill everyone in the process(that would be bad).

Dark Caves

A man, strutting. His long coat flapping in the wind as he walks through the night. His hair, dark, brushing gently against his face. He had a pale face, pale as the moon. The grey eyes of his illuminated the night, frightening the dark creatures who kill the joyous. Behind him, strong men and women armed with weapons of all sorts. “Sir, we’re here.” The mans’s soldier announced abruptly. “Yes, yes we are.” The man declared in a smooth tone, then pointed to one of the soldiers. “Hey you, call in our strongest warriors, immediately.” The man commanded. “Yes Sir!” The young soldier blurted.

“Hey, Emerald, come on! General is calling!” A boy announced. “Coming Bronze, just wait a moment, I have to pack my stuff really quick.” Emerald blasted through stressed teeth. Emerald’s long emerald hair waved as she sprinted with her backpack hanging off of one shoulder. “Hey, wait up, Bronze; you’re faster than me!” Emerald bawled. “Not my fault, we gotta go find Silver and Ruby anyways.” Chortled Bronze. “Fine, you go find Silver since he is farther, I’ll get Ruby, shes just down the hall anyways. Emerald dashed down the corridor. “Here.” She gasped for breath.
Emerald approached a wooden door, grabbing the handle, she opened the door. “Rhode, get up! It’s time to go, general is calling!” Emerald Hollered. A little girl with hair, as a bright red, red as fire, turned. She was about at the age of 12, while Emerald was about 15. “Oh- Okay, I just got dressed, I packed my things too. I am going to get my shoes on.” Rhode muttered. Rhode shuffled down her dorm by the door where her black boots, lined in red sat. Soon, Rhode was ready to go. “C’mon, let’s go already! I’ve been waiting here for ever!” Wailed Emerald. “Okay, I am ready, lets go.” Rhode muttered.

An Excerpt: The Ones Who Lived in the Mountains

The pale light of the moon stretching across the cold, grey mountain tops. The wind whistled in the cold, harsh climate. There were no castles no buildings, no warmth ever touched these mountains. Not even the sun can reach this place.

“Lina, Lina over here!!” Shouted the boy. Wind brushed Lina’s face as she dashed through the mountains. “What is it, Allen?” She replied in a hasty, scratchy tone because of the wind throughout the mountains. “I think I found something, fire it looks like, demons it must be.” Allen yelled “Okay, I see it too, land over here.” Lina pointed at a small cave just a few meters away from the light. “Rashillé, down here.” Allen spoke softly to the gigantic bird he was riding. “Come on Deprovi, I know you are tired, you can rest here, just a little more.” Lina whispered into Deprovi’s dark, feathered ear. Rashillé and Deprovi dived in perfect formation down to the cave, the thin air became sharp like needles as Allen and Lina hugged their Ecréoto (species of future bird) so they would not fly off into the darkness.

Allen and Lina dismounted their mounts, dragging their swords along this stony ground. “Lina, wait.” Allen alarmed. “What? It’s just a little Inferti.” Lina rasped. ” No, this is no Inferti, this is a Fláshira.

Frogs in the Future

Intro

A few years ago, in the Fifth Grade, I started this little short story about what would happen 75 million years in the future. I still haven’t finished it.

Prologue

75 million years in the future all of the humans go into a giant space ship and fly out of the solar system and for some reason a suicidal pilot “accidentally” presses the ESDB (Emergency Self Destruct Button). Sadly, the entire space ship explodes and all of the humans alive perish. The End.

Chapter 1

Not so fast reader, I’m not done with my story yet. We have a long way to go. 35 million years after the humans all die frogs and toads start evolving, they became smarter, faster, and adapted fingers and thumbs. They made phones, laptops, computers. All water proof (more or less). Soon after, they started to communicate. Their tongues became shorter and used nets to catch food instead of their tongues. They made cars and boats for faster travel.

Chapter 2

One thousand years past and the frogs and toads became bored of Earth and began to create space ships to take mice and rats to the moon. The rats got scared because of strange footprints in the moon dust and a very large pole with a waving flag. It was really the humans who came here so very long ago.

Chapter 3

The mice were soon suspected of radioactive behavior, the frogs thought that the moon would cure them. Instead the mice all came back equipped with blood red lasers and explosive missile launchers. The frogs fought back with with katana and shuriken launchers. The frogs and toads successfully won, but not by a long shot. The frogs captured the mice and took out the radioactive poison that was given to them the first time they went to the moon.

Chapter 4

Months later a toad named Gram, servant to Sir. Nibbleson, created a giant space ship named Berry, while Sir. Nibbleson was on vacation. The rocket ship was blue and silver with royal purple polka dots on it. It was a full model, 4422SpaceCatcher. About three or four people could fit inside. So what Gram did was call the IASS (International Association of Spasms in Space). The frogs were extremely impressed by the fact that Gram all managed to do this in less than one month. The IASS awarded Gram with the EERS medal (Extreme Engineering for Rockets for Space). It is known as one of the most honorable medals in the world. Also, Gram was gifted with one million Siptlons (currency) in return for the space ship, and the ability to be apart of the Mars mission. Gram accepted the offer and bought himself a huge mansion just for him. He lived there until the mission was given to two other people and him.

Chapter 5

Three creatures lined up with their space helmets and miniature space suits. The captain, at the far left, was named Gram, he is a short, very lazy, ugly, and extremely clever toad. Gram has very long legs and many yellow-green warts all over his body. He is also the engineer of the ship. The one in the center is Phil. He is a strong but slow tortoise. Phil has a green and yellow shell lined in black. He is the co-captain, also the one who coded Berry’s AI (artificial intelligence). Then there is Nathan. Nathan is a handsome, strong, white mouse. He is the guts and strength of the team. He also is in charge of the food, the water system, and all the other things of the Life Support system. Nathan is a long-furred white mouse with red eyes and a pale, pink nose. He does not have lasers the comes out of his eyes and he is one of the few mice who decided to stay on Earth and be on the frog team. The three creatures, Gram, Phil, and finally the young, energetic Nathan all boarded the blue and silver with royal purple polka dots ship named Berry and started the count down.

Chapter 6

10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1… LIFTOFF!! They blasted through the sky, leaving a trail of thick, black smoke behind them. Gram, the one driving, steered the ship up, up, and up. breaking the sound barrier with it. The three of them left the troposphere quickly. They tore through clouds and the thin air. Phil, trying his very best to keep Berry quiet unsuccessfully though so that Gram can stay as focused as possible.
An hour passed, they have finally reached the exosphere, almost into the deep, dark, vast space. “Gravity floor activated” Berry said sweetly. “You may now move about the cabin” The Gram rasped. Nathan unbuckled his seat belt and ran to the restroom. While Nathan was doing his “business” Phil went to go and make himself a sandwich. He filled it with tomatoes, lettuce, and of course, strawberry jam. Phil ate it intently, gobbling up everything. He then went to go and rest in his cabin.
His cabin had a large, flat-screen TV, and a super comfy chair to go along with his super high-tech desk and extremely comfortable forgetting foam bed. Nathan finally left the restroom, refreshed. Then made two sandwiches one at the request of Gram. The ship still could not go on auto-pilot because they could not see Mars just yet.
Three days past, Nathan, in charge of all the weaponry, checked to see how everything was going while the ship was on auto-pilot. He saw something bad, very, very, bad. “ASTEROID!!!!” he screamed.

Chapter 7

“Hey there guys, it appears there are asteroids about to hit the ship, I’ll do my best to dodge them, I may need help from Gram the captain.” Announced Berry from the speaker. Gram leaped into the pilot’s seat, grabbed the wheel and swerved the ship almost sideways, just barely missing an asteroid. “What do you think you are doing?! I almost flipped backwards! You know how long it takes to flip me back forwards again! Phil rasped. “Sorry Phil, I did my best to keep it as strait as possible, I would rather go through the pain and horror of your whining then die by an asteroid.” Gram replied.
Nathan sprinted through the ship to the pilot quarters where Phil and Gram were. Panting, he said ” A- a- a-” “We know, the ship turned sideways, we’ve reached the asteroids, buckle your seat belt, we are going for a ride.

Chapter 8

“Ow!” Nathan whined “Stop whining. It’s only a little scratch.” Scolded Gram. “Can you at least drive a little smoother?” Nathan complained. Gram sighed and then spoke in a harsh whisper; “Do you see that asteroid over there?” Nathan gazed for a few seconds out the window and nodded, then Gram continued; “Would you rather your head splattered on that asteroid and your brain goo gushing out?” “N-n-no thank you.” Nathan stuttered. “Then shut up and stop complaining!” Croaked Gram.

Chapter 9

“That’s the last of ’em.” Gram observed as he looked out the front-view camera, that was showing on the main screen. “Good, I almost died, all those asteroids and turning, it gave me all those bruises. Thank goodness Phil wasn’t flipped over.” Nathan huffed. “Yeah, that sure woulda been quite the doozy.” Gram teased. “Hey!” Phil yowled. “Sorry Phil, it had to be said.” Nathan chuckled.

Three days passed since the asteroid belt, they were beginning to approach Mars. Gram was just getting out of bed, a mess as it usually is. Phil was space fishing for space worms(which are extremely rare and contain nutrients that can give you energy for weeks on end). Nathan was walking up to the main deck to get some coffee, from Berry who was auto piloting the ship at the time. “Mornin’ Berry.” Nathan groaned out of drowsiness. “Morning Nat!” Berry replied enthusiastically. “I told you not to call me Nat! It is Nathan, with a “th” sound!” Nathan squeaked. “Fine, fine Nathan.” Berry said cooly. “Than-” “NAT” Berry shouted as she interrupted Nathan. “I am just so done with you” Nathan concluded.
